Our Structure

How We Are Governed

Governance & Accountability Structures

The official structures through which the local church is led, governed, and held accountable.

Pastoral Leadership
The Pastor is the official head of all boards and auxiliaries, providing spiritual and administrative oversight of the congregation.
Church Conference
Members and the minister meet to consider local church business, receive reports, and strengthen the congregation.
Official Board
Coordinates boards, auxiliaries, reports, membership matters, and overall church accountability.
Steward Board
Supports the pastor in spiritual care, financial stewardship, membership accountability, and care for the needy and distressed.
Trustee Board
Oversees church property, buildings, assets, maintenance, insurance, parsonage matters, and legal responsibilities.

Ministries & Auxiliaries

The ministry arms through which the congregation serves, grows, and reaches the world in the spirit of Richard Allen.

Stewardesses
Assist with Holy Communion, Baptism, altar preparation, sacred linens, elements, and ritual care.
Christian Education
Guides teaching, discipleship, and religious development for the whole congregation.
Church School
Bible teaching and Christian education for children, youth, young adults, and adults.
Women's Missionary Society (WMS)
Christian witness, mission, advocacy, education, stewardship, and community service.
Lay Organization
Teaching, training, and empowering lay members for ministry, leadership, and service.
Sons of Allen
Men's ministry focused on faith, accountability, brotherhood, fatherhood, and service.
Charlotte Maxeke Ladies Fellowship (CMLF)
Ladies united in prayer, sisterhood, training, outreach, and holistic support.
ACE League
Allen Christian Evangelical League focused on evangelism, prayer, fellowship, outreach, and youth participation.
Young People's & Children's Division (YPD)
Nurturing children, youth, and young adults in faith, mission, service, and leadership.
RAYAC
Coordinates young adult ministry through discipleship, leadership training, fellowship, networking, and Christian service.

Our church is organised into 14 classes, each led by a dedicated Class Leader who provides pastoral care and fellowship for their community.
